Interview with Roses for my Sweetheart

Hi there! I hope you’re all well.

A while back I was interviewed by Lauren, founder of Roses for my Sweetheart. Lauren is a collector and seller of antique jewellery and is particularly inspired by the symbolic meanings behind the motifs in antique jewellery. These motifs are often inspired by the natural world and in her words “impart hidden meaning, are so full of sentiment, romanticism and symbolism that every one has a story to tell.” I very much share this view with my own approach to jewellery design and adore the pieces that Lauren has curated in her collections.

You can read my interview on Lauren’s blog: Botanical Folklore and The Victorian Language of Flowers: The Inspiration Behind the Jewellery of Erica Sharp

Take a look at some of the beautiful pieces in the Roses for my Sweetheart collection:

Aren’t these the most beautifully curated treasures? You can see more of Lauren’s antique collections at her shop, Roses for my Sweetheart. You can also read interviews with other collectors, experts and makers on the Roses for my Sweetheart Blog.
