Looking back at 2021

Happy New Year! Wishing you all happiness and good health for the year to come.

I’ve made a collage of some of my favourite pieces and Instagram from 2021. It’s great to look back at these special and meaningful pieces.

I’d also like to share some of the pieces I made at the back end of last year. This sapphire ring was inspired by lavender, a meaningful symbol to my client and a symbol of the close friendships in her life.

hand engraved ring

The inside of the band was inscribed with a meaningful hand engraving.

I also made this north star necklace, a gift from Mother to daughter on her wedding day. The piece was cast using my client’s own gold and adorned with their own little diamond. On the reverse of the pendant there is a personal engraving. I love the symbolism of this piece. The eight pointed North Star is an ancient symbol, an emblem of hope, a compass for guidance, and an anchor to those we love.

I also made a silver cocktail spoon for my Dad, as a Christmas gift. My Dad makes brilliant cocktails at Christmas. I gifted this along with the “Savoy Cocktail Book” which is full of old school (quite potent) cocktail recipes! It’s a great book for cocktail lovers.

The cocktail spoon was inspired by the blackthorn tree (where sloe berries grow) and hand engraved “Gin o’clock”.

Thank you for all your kind comments, orders and commissions last year. It means the world to me. I look forward to making more jewellery in this year to come. Erica x
