A look back at 2019

Hello! I can’t believe it’s been a year since I wrote a proper blog post. 2019 was a big year for Astrid and Rose Jewellery. I had the chance to do some lovely commission work. Here are some of my favourites!

I also had the huge privilege to design and make some very special wedding and engagement rings. It’s been such an honour to be entrusted to create such important and meaningful pieces of jewellery. I’ve added a wedding and engagement section to my bespoke jewellery page, so please do have a look if you are interested. Here are some of my favourite rings I was lucky enough to create for the loveliest, most thoughtful clients:

Some of you may know that I have a creative background in illustration and teaching, and teaching is something I still do now. I taught my first wax carving workshop over the summer, which was so enjoyable! Teaching gives me a feeling of fulfilment which is quite different from the satisfaction I get from making jewellery. I can’t imagine not ever doing either. It’s something I hope to do more of next summer on a one-to-one or small group basis.

Teaching lovely Mazz some wax carving techniques. Loads of fun!

When I look back at the highlights of 2019 it makes me feel proud of how much Astrid and Rose Jewellery has grown and how my work has evolved. Thank you to everyone who has supported me and appreciated my work! I’m feeling really excited to create more lovely jewellery in 2020. I hope it’s a happy, inspiring and fulfilling year for you all!
